This interview with Kiran was conducted in 2004. It was our first and only meeting. He sat relaxed on a sofa swinging from the ceiling in a large airy living room. Some of his Indian disciples were present. When asked about his biography, Kiran immediately replied: \u2018I have no biography.\u2019 He felt very much with himself. At the end of his book, Self-Enquiry, Sri Ramana says, \u2018He who is thus endowed with a mind that has become subtle, and who has the experience of the Self is called a jivanmukta.\u2019 Is this the state that can be called Self- realised?<\/p>

He goes on, \u2018And when one is immersed in the ocean of bliss and has become one with it without any differentiated existence, one is called a videhamukta. It is the state of videhamukti that is referred to as the transcendent turiya (state). Kiran (1941\u2013March 2006) studied Hindu philosophy at the Sanskrit College in Thane, developing an early foundation in classical Indian thought. In 1967, while continuing a full life as an industrialist and householder, he became a disciple of Osho, which marked a decisive turning point in his inner search and spiritual orientation.<\/p>

After Osho left India for the United States in 1981, Kiran continued seeking and spent time with a number of other teachers. Among them, the one who impacted him most deeply was U.G. Krishnamurti, whose uncompromising approach strongly shaped Kiran\u2019s understanding and the way he later spoke about truth and freedom.<\/p>

In 1993, Kiran began teaching, sharing what had matured through decades of inquiry, lived experience, and direct confrontation with spiritual ideals. He died in March 2006 at the age of sixty-five.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
