Ein ehemaliger Klassenkamerad besucht Bhagavan<\/h1>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Herr Abdul Wahab, ein ehemaliger Klassenkamerad Sri Bhagavans an der American Mission High School in Madurai, stattete dem Ashram einen Besuch ab. Der Meister strahlte vor Freude, ihn zu sehen. Dann tauschten <\/i>sowohl der Meister als auch sein ehemaliger Klassenkamerad in der Halle ihre Erinnerungen aus.
<\/span><\/span>B: In jenen Tagen spielte ich sehr gerne Fu\u00dfball. Sahib [so sprach Sri Bhagavan den muslimischen Herrn an] achtete besonders darauf, dass er immer auf der gleichen Seite wie ich spielte. Einmal verletzte ich mich beim Spielen an meinem rechten Bein, das sich daraufhin entz\u00fcndete und anschwoll. Sahib brachte mich in ein nahe gelegenes Krankenhaus und sorgte daf\u00fcr, dass eine Medizin auf die betroffene Stelle aufgetragen wurde. Erst nachdem die Schwellung etwas abgeklungen war, konnte ich nach Hause zur\u00fcckkehren; da ich sonst von den Erwachsenen, die nicht im Geringsten damit einverstanden waren, dass ich mich an irgendwelchen Spielen beteiligte, ausgeschimpft worden w\u00e4re.<\/i><\/span><\/b><\/p><\/div>

AW: Es beunruhigt mich, wenn ich dar\u00fcber nachdenke, dass ich Bhagavan so viele Jahre lang vertraulich beim Namen genannt habe, ohne seine Gr\u00f6\u00dfe zu erkennen oder sie zu realisieren. Venkateswaram Aiyyer war der Name, der Sri Bhagavan bei seiner Geburt gegeben wurde, da der Kuladheivam ihrer Familie Thirupathi Venkatachalapathy war; zur Zeit seiner Einschulung wurde er jedoch aus irgendeinem Grund in Venkatraman ge\u00e4ndert.<\/span><\/i><\/p><\/div>

Sri Bhagavan nahm mich oft samstags zum Thirupparangundram Murugar Kovil mitzunehmen. Er bestand darauf, dass ich zusammen mit ihm die Schreine der verschiedenen G\u00f6tter besuchte und den Tempel umrundete. Ich protestierte und verwies darauf, dass ich dem islamischen Glauben angeh\u00f6re, in dem die Anbetung von G\u00f6tzen als Ungehorsam und Ketzerei gilt, aber er setzte sich immer \u00fcber meine Einw\u00e4nde hinweg, und sagte, dass diese Unterschiede nicht in Gott seien, sondern lediglich vom Menschen geschaffen wurden.<\/span><\/i><\/p><\/div>

Bhagavan nahm mich auch gelegentlich mit nach Thirucchuzhi; er fuhr regelm\u00e4\u00dfig dorthin, um seine Familie zu besuchen. Bhagavans Mutter war eine orthodoxe Brahmanin, aber dennoch gab sie mir Essen, wann immer sie mich sah. Wenn ich es gelegentlich ablehnte, ihn zu begleiten, dann \u00fcberreichte er mir am n\u00e4chsten Tag eine Tiffin-Box mit den Worten: \u201eMutter hat mich gebeten, dir dieses Essen zu geben.\u201c So freundlich war Bhagavans Mutter!<\/p><\/div>

Sowohl der Moslem als auch Sri Bhagavan hatten an diesem Punkt feuchte Augen, und der Meister blickte pl\u00f6tzlich von der Halle weg zum Fenster und verharrte dort f\u00fcr einige Zeit. Als er sich verabschiedete, \u00fcberreichte der Moslem dem Meister eine kleine Menge Thangabhasmam und sagte: \u201eIch habe es speziell f\u00fcr Sri Bhagavan besorgt, da ich wei\u00df, dass er Asthmatiker ist.\u201c
<\/span><\/i>B: Das kann nicht angenommen werden. Es gibt so viele Asthmatiker auf der Welt. Wenn sie alle nach Thangabhasmam verlangen, wird dann die Menge an Gold, die auf der Erde \u00fcbrig ist, ausreichen? Au\u00dferdem, warum all diese ausgefallenen Dinge f\u00fcr mich? Kann ich mir solche Dinge leisten? Ich bin ein Daridranarayanan [im Dienste der Armen], der sich mit dem begn\u00fcgt, was da ist. Solche exotischen Dinge sind f\u00fcr diejenigen, die einen Geschmack daf\u00fcr haben und es sich leisten k\u00f6nnen. Was kann ich mir leisten? Nichts. Selbst das Koupeenam, das ich trage, wurde mir von jemand anderem geschenkt und nicht von mir verdient. Welches Recht habe ich, an diesen ausgefallen Gen\u00fcssen teilzuhaben? Etwas <\/span><\/b><\/span>\u0baa\u0bb4\u0bc8\u0baf\u0ba4\u0bc1 [ ]<\/span><\/span> mit etwas Buttermilch gen\u00fcgt mir.<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p><\/div>


AW: [mitleidig] Aber wird Bhagavan mir zuliebe nicht seine Meinung \u00e4ndern und mein Geschenk annehmen?<\/p><\/div>

Eine Stimme in der N\u00e4he des Sofas sagte: \u201eEs ist ein Zeichen der Liebe und Zuneigung des Herrn zu Bhagavan. Bhagavan muss es freundlicherweise um unseretwillen annehmen, wenn nicht sogar um seinetwillen.\u201c Doch der Meister lie\u00df sich nicht \u00fcberzeugen.
<\/span><\/span>B: Warum all diese ausgefallenen Sachen? Sie haben selbst Familienmitglieder, die an Asthma leiden: ist es nicht so? Ist dieser K\u00f6rper wichtiger oder in irgendeiner Weise besser als jene K\u00f6rper? Wie kommt es, dass du sie ignorierst und mir diese Medizin bringst? Wenn du sie denen gibst, die sie wirklich brauchen, werden sie gl\u00fccklich sein. Ich habe keine Verwendung f\u00fcr solche Dinge. Ich kann nicht denken: \u201eOh, wir nehmen Medizin f\u00fcr unsere Gesundheit\u201c und mich dabei gl\u00fccklich f\u00fchlen. (l\u00e4chelt still vor sich hin).
