Durante su vida, Osho fue visto como un nuevo l\u00edder y m\u00edstico de un movimiento religioso muy controvertido. Critic\u00f3 a l\u00edderes como Mahatma Gandhi y la ortodoxia de la religi\u00f3n dominante. Especialmente el Hinduismo tradicional dominante de la India.<\/p>\n

Osho naci\u00f3 el 11 de diciembre de 1931 y se le dio el nombre de Chandra Mohan Jain . Tambi\u00e9n fue conocido como Acharya Rajneesh y Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh antes de llamarse a s\u00ed mismo Osho, que significa \u00aboce\u00e1nico\u00bb, diluido en el oc\u00e9ano. M\u00e1s tarde descubri\u00f3 que el nombre tambi\u00e9n se usa como t\u00edtulo honor\u00edfico para los maestros Zen japoneses.<\/p>\n

Despu\u00e9s de despertar a su verdadera naturaleza a la edad de veinti\u00fan a\u00f1os, Osho viaj\u00f3 por la India en la d\u00e9cada de 1960 como orador p\u00fablico y profesor de filosof\u00eda.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Durante la d\u00e9cada de los 70 expandi\u00f3 sus ense\u00f1anzas espirituales y public\u00f3 comentarios sobre una amplia variedad de escritos de tradiciones religiosas, m\u00edsticas, sobre poetas bhakti y sobre fil\u00f3sofos de todo el mundo.<\/p>\n

Se estableci\u00f3 un ashram de Osho en Puna que ofrec\u00eda talleres de meditaci\u00f3n y terapia. R\u00e1pidamente se hizo popular entre los buscadores espirituales occidentales.<\/p>\n

El ashram se hizo conocido como un lugar de intensa pr\u00e1ctica espiritual y se ha descrito como un sitio que irradiaba \u00abuna atm\u00f3sfera de manicomio y carnaval cargada de emociones\u00bb.<\/p>\n

El d\u00eda comenzaba a las 6 de la ma\u00f1ana con una meditaci\u00f3n din\u00e1mica. A partir de las 8, Osho daba una conferencia espont\u00e1nea de 60 a 90 minutos y luego, durante el d\u00eda, se llevaban a cabo diversas meditaciones y terapias. Las fuertes energ\u00edas que surg\u00edan en estos eventos eran atribuidas al campo b\u00fadico<\/em> creado en el ashram.<\/p>\n

Despu\u00e9s de problemas con las autoridades indias, Osho decidi\u00f3 en 1981 trasladar su ashram a Oregon, en los Estados Unidos. Pronto, el des\u00e9rtico p\u00e1ramo de Oreg\u00f3n se transform\u00f3 en una aldea din\u00e1mica para miles de sus seguidores.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, el experimento entr\u00f3 en conflicto casi de inmediato con los residentes del condado y el gobierno estatal. Una serie de batallas legales terminaron con la deportaci\u00f3n de Osho de Estados Unidos en 1985.<\/p>\n

Regres\u00f3 a su hogar en la India, donde revivi\u00f3 su ashram en Pune. Aqu\u00ed fue donde dej\u00f3 su cuerpo en 1990. Se construy\u00f3 una espl\u00e9ndida sala de samadhi como monumento conmemorativo.<\/p>\n

Circunstancias extraordinarias llevaron a John David de su trabajo como arquitecto en Tokio a convertirse en sannyasin en el ashram de Osho en Pune.
