P.: \u00bfCantar “A-HAM” [el S\u00ed mismo] mentalmente llevar\u00e1 a la realizaci\u00f3n del S\u00ed mismo?<\/em>
B.: Mientras lo haces, fija tu atenci\u00f3n en la fuente del japam[ ] en ti. Es decir, escudri\u00f1a de d\u00f3nde surge el japam dentro de ti y mant\u00e9n tu facultad de atenci\u00f3n exclusivamente en esa fuente.<\/strong><\/p>


P.: Bhagavan quiere decir el lado derecho del pecho, \u00bfestoy en lo cierto?<\/em>
B.: Rastrea la sensaci\u00f3n del “yo” o del japam hasta que se fusione de nuevo all\u00ed. Concentrarse en ese punto del cuerpo puede dar como resultado la liberaci\u00f3n de los pensamientos por el momento. Si est\u00e1s buscando la Realizaci\u00f3n, la mente debe ser rastreada hasta el Coraz\u00f3n. Fijar la atenci\u00f3n o la concentraci\u00f3n en algo es una actividad mental. S\u00f3lo el hundimiento o el cese de la actividad mental revela el Coraz\u00f3n.<\/strong>
Cuando se te pide que te fundas de nuevo en el Coraz\u00f3n, de donde has venido, no significa que esto deba lograrse por medio de “hacer”. “Hacer” es utilizar la mente o permitir que funcione, es decir, fomentar que se aleje del Coraz\u00f3n. No “hacer” es no obstaculizar el camino para que la mente se sumerja permanentemente en el Resplandor del Coraz\u00f3n. No hay que tratar de ayudar a la mente a alcanzar el Coraz\u00f3n.<\/strong>
Cualquier cosa que trates de hacer para facilitar que la mente se hunda en el Coraz\u00f3n s\u00f3lo har\u00e1 que la mente se aleje m\u00e1s del Coraz\u00f3n. S\u00f3lo hay una manera de alcanzar verdaderamente el Coraz\u00f3n, y es renunciando al reino del hacer de una vez por todas. Abandona el intento de hacer algo con la mente. Mant\u00e9n la mente perfectamente despierta y alerta, pero perfectamente inm\u00f3vil y quieta. <\/strong>
El esfuerzo realizado o la volici\u00f3n que se tiene para permanecer inm\u00f3vil es tambi\u00e9n movimiento. Si la mente se mantiene indefinidamente en jagrat-sushupti [sue\u00f1o despierto], se hunde en el Coraz\u00f3n autom\u00e1ticamente y se disuelve all\u00ed de una vez por todas como una mu\u00f1eca de sal arrojada al oc\u00e9ano. Por lo tanto, en lugar de concentrarse en el lado derecho del pecho, busca la fuente de la mente y, en consecuencia, descubre pr\u00e1cticamente que est\u00e1 en el lado derecho del pecho. <\/strong>
La gente pregunta qu\u00e9 sadhana debe hacerse para mantener la mente quieta. \u00bfQu\u00e9 respuesta hay que dar a esta pregunta? La quietud es el estado natural de uno. Lo arruinamos al permitir que surjan pensamientos. Deja de pensar y la mente se queda quieta. Es tan simple como eso.<\/strong><\/p>

B.: \u00bfPor qu\u00e9? Porque usted se esfuerza por contrarrestar el pensamiento con el pensamiento. El pensamiento “no debo pensar el pensamiento” no puede matar el pensamiento. S\u00f3lo la quietud puede extinguir el pensamiento.<\/strong><\/p>


P.: \u00bfC\u00f3mo puedo cultivar esta quietud? <\/em>
B.: Abandonando los vrittis [tendencias] de la mente.<\/strong><\/p>

B.: “\u00bfQui\u00e9n soy yo?” es el camino.<\/strong><\/p>


P.: \u00bfEs el esfuerzo un obst\u00e1culo para la realizaci\u00f3n del S\u00ed mismo?<\/em>
B.: S\u00ed.<\/strong><\/p>


P.: Entonces, \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 Bhagav\u00e2n nos exhorta a esforzarnos para realizar el S\u00ed mismo?<\/em>
B.: El esfuerzo es necesario hasta que se vuelve innecesario.<\/strong><\/p>


P.: No entiendo lo que Bhagav\u00e2n me est\u00e1 diciendo. <\/em>
B.: Hasta que la mente se haya reducido al estado primordial de la pura Conciencia Subjetiva, al que la posibilidad de gastar esfuerzo y acomodar la volici\u00f3n son totalmente ajenos, el esfuerzo es necesario para obtener ese estado natural. Una vez alcanzado este estado, el esfuerzo adicional lo devuelve a uno al atolladero del “hacer”. Por lo tanto, hay que esforzarse hasta que sea imposible hacer m\u00e1s esfuerzo, es decir, hasta que se alcance el estado sashwatamanonivritti [ ]. Esto no ocurrir\u00e1 en un d\u00eda. Se necesita una pr\u00e1ctica incesante durante un largo per\u00edodo de tiempo.<\/strong><\/p>


P.: \u00a1Pero Bhagav\u00e2n se dio cuenta en veintisiete minutos de pr\u00e1ctica en Madurai!<\/em>
B.: No todos nacen igual. En el momento de nacer, algunas personas tienen mentes m\u00e1s introvertidas que las de otras [tambi\u00e9n cuyo nacimiento acaba de producirse].<\/strong><\/p>


P.: \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 esta disparidad? <\/em>
