A cup of steaming tea in your hands,
a bowl of steamed vegetables for lunch –
both lovingly prepared
both lovingly presented.
Sitting on a chair, Vipassana meditation,
behind me the cooing of the doves from the roof,
in front of me the singing of exotic birds in the backyard-
in the background, from another part of the building
sound devotional mantra chants.
Yes, the divine is great in this environment of devotion.
The yard walk in single file in the fresh air turns out to be an explosion
of sensory impressions. Noises like in the jungle penetrate the ear,
Hundreds of birds, ducks, peacocks and the cockatoo sing in competition.
The sun shines through a slit of the eye mask,
Deep gratitude rises
Thanks for this place
