Essential: A deep connection between Teacher and Student
An absolutely essential part of the spiritual journey is the deep connection between the student and the teacher. For this, it is most helpful to meet your spiritual teacher without expectations and judgements because you want to get to know something you don’t know yet.
Student and Teacher
The friends we’ve had so far usually understand us in our suffering and confirm us in our ego structures. A teacher does not play this game and that is why we are with him because we want to be challenged to get out of our ego game.
If you are able to see the teacher’s actions as non-judgemental, impersonal and loving energy, and you are able to let this energy in, its great transformative power can reveal something deep inside you that you don’t have access to yet.
The Teachers Actions: A mirror from love
Every energy that comes from the teacher is a mirror and comes from love, even if the outer form does not necessarily always correspond to your expectations of love. If you are able to see the teacher’s actions as non-judgemental, impersonal and loving energy, and you are able to let this energy into you without judgement, its great transformative power will give you tremendous benefits.
